Porcelain's translucency, elegant whiteness, and pristine feel have captivated me, inspiring a dedicated focus on this exquisite material.
I first fell in love with porcelain while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Vienna, Austria, and have been devoted to it ever since. During my studies, I completed a three-year diploma in Ceramic and Product Design, simultaneously undertaking a course in Painting, and graduated with distinction in both disciplines.
In 2023, I moved to Bath and continued my education at Bath Spa University, earning a master's degree in 2024. Throughout my four-year journey studying ceramics, I had the opportunity to work with various kinds of clay, but porcelain, with all its challenges, stood out as the most intriguing and beautiful to me.
My work encompasses a mix of slip casting, slab building, sculpting, and throwing techniques, all inspired by the natural shapes, patterns, and textures found in nature. I strive to create pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also intriguing to touch and explore, celebrating the delicate and refined essence of porcelain.
