Ceramic studio at Craft 

The studio is situated at the rear of the gallery, and equipped to professional standard. Both throwing tuition and shared use of the studio are available.

Introduction to Throwing

Available 9.00 – 11.30am Thursday to Sunday

Course of 4 weekly 1.5 hour sessions £175 , includes all materials and glazing of work produced.

 

Structured course for beginners covering the basic techniques of throwing, finishing and glazing work.

 

Ongoing Supervised Tuition

Available 9.00 – 11.30am Thursday to Sunday

1 hour sessions £100, or 1.5 hour sessions £150, per 4 weeks. Includes all materials and glazing of work produced.

 

Fully supervised tuition covering progression from beginner to an intermediate level.

 

Intermediate Guided Tuition

Available 2.00 – 5.00pm Thursday to Sunday

1 hour sessions £80, or 1.5 hour sessions £120, per 4 weeks.

Includes glazing of work produced (limited quantity), excludes materials.

 

Tuition with guidance and advice but without hands on demonstrations. Requires an ability to work largely unsupervised during the throwing process.

 

Shared Use of Studio Facilities 

Available 2.00 – 5.00pm Thursday to Sunday.

Sole use of studio, for either 1 x 3 hour or 2 x 1.5 hour sessions per week, £100 per calender month.

Excludes materials, glazing and firing costs.

Independent use of the studio space, requires ability to work unsupervised at all stages of the throwing and glazing process.
